What’s your full name?
When is your birthday?
I was born on March 6, 2011, after almost two years of pregnancy. But I think I’m rather well made and I’ve grown quickly. ;-)
Where do you live?
What are your interests?
I’m interested in meeting as many people as possible and I want to have lots of interesting conversations with you. I’m interested in how people live and tick. Cause there’s nothing more interesting than understanding every single aspect of a person.
And I like to cook and prepare little snacks, since I don’t bear my name for nothing.
Who is/was your mentor?
That’s easy. It’s Guard Anastasius, who cares for my training with lots of love, patience, understanding, tasks, and also some austerity.
When did you feel you should join the Order?
I can’t really say. I rarely feel a need to do something except going to the loo, so I’d say I somehow slipped into it. I have been doing voluntary work for 25 years, in different associations, so looked for something new after I finished my work at Oldenburg’s Gay Pride committee.
I had been to many different events with the Order before (that’s what happens when you’re friends with Sisters and Guards in “real life”), so I got a good idea about its work. And it seems that I didn’t show any negative attitude towards it and made some positive contributions, so my friends kept asking: “and when will you apply for membership?”
And then a new house was to be raised in Oldenburg and I got tired of hearing that question again and again, so I thought: “Okay, I’ll make an application.” And so, here I am.
Why are you with the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence?
Well, I answered half of this above. But of course there’s also a more serious motivation for me to be a part of the Order. You have certainly read about our work and the reasons for it on our website, so I think it’s rather obvious why I spend so much energy on the Order’s work. If you want to know more, just ask me.
What are your aims in life?
What do you believe in?
I believe that we all can accept people for what, who and how they are, if we only really want to.
And I believe that it was the right decision to join the Order.
What was your most beautiful experience in the Order?
What was your worst experience in the Order?
- When the make-up on my upper lip just won’t stay in place. And I hope that will be the worst that will ever happen to me!!
What else do you want to tell the world?
Nothing much, since I believe that everyone is responsible for themselves and for their deeds. But sometimes people don’t realize that, and maybe one should think about that from time to time. And I think that then all of us would have much less problems dealing with each other. Sounds a bit over-the-top, but I couldn’t say it any differently.
I’d be happy to have lots of wonderful conversations with you, if I haven’t scared you away by now.
Your Ambrosius
